If nothing else last night's performance demands better moderators

Maybe it is the frailty of age, but the moderation of last night's debate, or lack thereof is probably a better descriptor, was unacceptable. Serious questions need to be asked and the Candidates need to be kept both on time and on track if cogent answers are to be delivered. To my mind the best qualified moderator available is Bryan Lamb, the now-retired CEO of C-Span. Mr. Lamb has for years, and continues to to this day, narrate many of the "In Depth" interviews with people of political substance who are in the news, which is clearly a program that lives up to its name. Mr. lamb does not shirk from keeping the interviewee on subject - something dearly needed in the Presidential debates.
