Who has to work hardest to say the things that they think the Prez should talk about?
Clearly, the answer isn't the President, it's those people who are bitching about what he should or shouldn't be talking about.
Sorry, but Big Ed and Tweety were projecting last night. They wanted their words in the President's mouth and are upset because he didn't parrot them nor their style.
Instead the President dealt with a mendacious Romney in the best way possible, with facts told cooly, calmly and maturely. And in the long run, which is the ONLY game in town to win this election, Mitt was being led into the Old' Briar Patch where he will pay for his torrent of lies.
No, Big Ed and Tweety, your way of starting a shouting match would not have fit into the President's strategy of getting Romney to hoist himself upon his on petard.
It would have made great TV for the pundit class, but the President was more concerned with being the only cogent adult in the room, instead of being some kind of animated cartoon character.
