The president should consider holding a presser to demand that Congress pass the JOBS bill!!!

Last edited Fri Oct 5, 2012, 11:53 AM - Edit history (1)

Were it not for the Republicans, the jobless rate would be down much more than it is today. The president has been blamed now for four years for the poor economy.

I think he should say something about these numbers (if he hasn't already), especially since the Republicans are screaming that the numbers have been cooked.

However, the more important message is letting the American people know and making them UNDERSTAND that it has been the Republicans in Congress that have been blocking all of the JOBS bills. Every single one.

and then congress should PASS the bill!
one can dream.
but in seriousness i agree it would be a nice way for the president to illustrate his commitment to jobs growth as well as the republican obstructionism that has done so much to keep recovery at bay.

Jack Welch FORMER GE ceo has come out this morning and accused Obama of forcing fake unemployment numbers.
It's time for the public to know the facts, business is sitting on trillions of dollars, not hiring, banks holding back on lending.
They created uncertainty and a US downgrade last year on debt ceiling debacle and brought more uncertainty in economy.
That is why GDP is down this year over last, recovery is trying to come back slowly. That fiasco last year was to intentionally tank the economy.
I guess business knows they can't hold back forever, and will HAVE to create jobs and are mad that they may see imprvement too soon (before election).
Obama would be speaking the truth, not making wild accusations and making people look at the obstructionists in congress and get rid of tea party who are loyal to Grover Norquist's no tax hikes on 1%, not the good of country.

they've all gone home early to save their own pathetic asses and try to make nice with the constituency. They read the polls and they know what time it is.
