U.S. Subsidiary Of Canadian Company Gave Romney Super PAC $1 Million

A U.S. subsidiary of the Canadian insurance company Fairfax Financial Holdings gave a super PAC supporting Mitt Romney $1 million in August, The Canadian Press reports.

OdysseyRe gave the money to Restore Our Future on August 17, according to figures maintained by the Center for Responsive Politics.

Foreign-owned companies are barred from giving to super PACs . . .

Isn't this illegal? If you take money from foreign countries your policies may be influenced when dealing with that country on international matters. Certainly don't want anyone beholden to foreign entities.
