Anyone else going to see Obama in Keene Ca on Oct 8th?

I got an e-mail Obama will be at the Cesar E. Chavez National Monument in Keene Ca.

Change of plans: My brother needs my car on Monday for a job. Sorry for getting anybody's hopes up. A job at this stage is more important. So even if someone else drove, I couldn't go because my mother needs one of us here for her. Well hopefully one of us from DU is going, so we can see some pictures from the event.

I have to drive out to Las Vegas on the 8th and I'd like to avoid what will undoubtedly be a huge traffic mess on 58.

Maybe I'll go a day early and avoid the whole thing. Or I guess I could go on down to 138 and come back through Lancaster & Mojave.

Anyway thanks for letting me know and good luck at the event.

I live in Bakersfield, but I missed the deadline for reservations. I hope somebody goes, so I could see the pictures... I don't have any money for gas because I'm not working right now anyway, so I have to conserve...

Reservations were required? I live in Ridgecrest and would still like to go with my daughters. I heard a shuttle was running from Mill Street starting at 7 AM. Is that only for those with reservations? And where were the reservations supposed to have been made?
