Yeah, you go right ahead and play the anti intellectual card, you undereducated dumbshits who pretend to have a handle on the Earth and all which populate and surround it. You don't have any first idea about that which you profess to know, that you denigrate people who have studied rigorously, who stayed indoors and worked their asses off in libraries and prepping dissertations and presentations while you we're out getting drunk and laying anything that moved in order to both get your rocks off and advance your smarmy careers, and not necessarily in that order.
To make it sound as though a successfully educated individual is inadequate for that reason alone is beyond dreadful: it is the antithesis of civilized behavior, of progress, of humanity, and of what makes humankind different from the ants. You are beneath contempt and deserve to lose everything which this society has provided you in it's wisdom, which you lack in toto.

(12,799 posts)It isn't the teachers, it isn't the structure, it isn't even so much the money. It is the fact that it's not cool to be smart. I personally know parents who don't want their child to be one of the 'smart kids' for that very reason. It is a cultural flaw that we had better get a handle on, or there will be no stopping our race to the bottom.

(2,332 posts)Are consistently doing it. Brown did it repeatedly to Warren on the debate. We have to counter attack. A simple-" thank you for recognizing my career. It took hard work and dedication."
Ignoring their blatant disrespect won't make them stop. Warren made a huge mistake by not responding to this.
