(32,066 posts)Edwards pollster in 2008 admitted under oath that he falsified polls to make Edwards look better. Hickman testified that when circulating the polls, he didn't much care if they were accurate. "I didn't necessarily take any of these as foras you would say, for the truth of the matter. I took them more as something that could be used as propaganda for the campaign," the veteran pollster said.

(32,066 posts)When he knew he was not. That is called falsification in my book maybe you don't have a problem with it. I don't have access to the transcript of his testimony so I don't know if he disclosed his party affiliation or not. Have you already forgot the notorious PPP poll which showed Akin a point ahead in MO when every other poll showed McCaskill 9 or 10 points ahead after the rape comments? It does happen on both sides whether you like it or not.

(99,711 posts)Harrison Hickman admitted to cherry picking polls to put his client in the best light. That's no different than me only posting polls here that put the president in the best light. I don't want to get lambasted as a concern troll. But that's part and parcel different than falsifying data or holding yourself out as a non partisan pollster when you aren't.
