So I have a dear friend; we don't talk politics but always

check out each other's FB. He has posted disparaging things about Obama and I say nothing. I always post truthful things about the current situation and candidate and he says nothing. Until recently. He is a retired Vet and I was hoping I got through to him...it worked! He posted these on his page, from me. SCORE!!!

Vets have been getting dicked over by Republicans in a nickel-and-dime fashion up to now.

If Romney/Ryan got their way, Vets get thrown under the bus with a coupon in their hand for medical care.

Even the dimmest bulbs among them are finally seeing that the Republicans would cut their benefits to nil.

We neede to double what we spend on veteran care, it's a national shame.

Those who support the GOP anyway, and who would vote for wrongney - who would...

...send them and many of their friends and a lot of younger people back into war. At least one. Maybe two. OR more, considering that he's got the warmongers and PNAC refugees advising him on foreign policy!

...who would cut their benefits because for God's Sake, we CAN'T ask the multi-millionaires to cough up ANY more!

...who regards them as moochers because they're among the 47% who don't pay income taxes.

...who hasn't served, took the champagne trip to Paris to be a "missionary" while the other young men his age were shipped off to Vietnam. (And whose father never served, nor his grandfather - who moved the whole family out of the country just so he could continue to have the "freedom" to shtup any additional women he wanted).

...who has not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE, COUNT 'EM, FIVE sons who are young, healthy, able-bodied, and VERY capable of giving a few years of their youth to the service of their country - and they've ALL refused.

...who has consistently badmouthed, lied about, and condemned the ONE President who, along with his wife, has made veterans' concerns a TOP personal priority of his administration, and whose wife has singlehandedly led a campaign to focus on and help military FAMILIES. Hey, I'm not in the military, and I too never served or seen combat or worn my country's uniform, but even I feel it's a personal slap in the face when I see polls that indicate veterans go for wrongney. WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY THINKING???????????

...who has consistently badmouthed, lied about, and condemned the ONE President who's actually called a halt to a VERY stupid, useless, wasteful, morally wrong, and illegal war in Iraq (while wrongney seems to want to crank that abortion back up again)!

That last two, I just do not get. Those veterans who turn their backs on this President after what he - AND the First Lady - have done for them. They AND THEIR LONG IGNORED AND NEGLECTED FAMILIES finally have a hands-on, activist, and highly committed advocate in the White House and this is how they show their appreciation??????

congratulations.
i'm really kind of saddened that she could like such a mendacious FUCK. i fail to see how anyone could rationally believe that romney is the better choice for president.

have posted on their FB that they like Romney. One is 17 and the other 16 so they cannot vote but their parents my youngest son and his wife are Romneyites and his in-laws are as well. The funny thing is the in-laws are retired military with end stage diabetes in the mother and yet are against Obama-care and Medicare but not Tricare. I don't talk to them about politics since I am a precinct chair for the Democratic Party in our county and an election judge; their involvement is putting themselves on FB. I figure I have the edge.

The best I've gotten from a similar friend is, "I'm not voting at all." Since he's typically a rabid repub, I took that as a win. Would love to post a story like yours concerning him. He's a Log Cabin repub and I just don't get the attraction that party could possibly have for him.

Awesome story! Thanks for sharing.

If you are a friend of mine and you turn conservative i won't have anything to do with you.

Very famous saying from the 1960's - "The personal is the political".

Your political beliefs are an excellent representation of who you are. If you are a con (post 1980 ) you are seriously fucked in the head and youre gonna have to take your sickness elsewhere. I can't be bothered.

my family).

I wish I could share your sentiment and your commitment because I feel so strongly against conservatives.

Outside of family, I dont' have anything to do with the hatemongering Repukes among us.

I acknowledge their existence, but don't even bother to offer the fake smile.

It should read " Where GOP commits Election Fraud to prevent nonexistent voter fraud".

There is a big difference between Voter Fraud and Election Fraud. Election Fraud can effect the whole country. Voter Fraud can only effect a small area, or even just the precinct it occurred in.
While Republicans are guilty voter fraud, mostly they are also guilty wholesale of Election Fraud. We need to recognize the difference before we can properly fix it.
