"Kerry supporters were carrying open bottles of champagne on Election Day in 2004!"

Richard Wolffe on Morning Joe pointed out that the polls for Kerry looked exactly the same the week following the first debate and right up to Election Day were confident Kerry would win. Joe had to admit that was the case but you could tell he didn't like any rain on his parade...

It's worth it for us progressives to remember 2004 and how elated we were after the first debate and going forward. Bush was just abysmal in the first debate. Kerry was articulate, looked presidential, was consistent on his message and very strong. Bush was actually SILLY, acted like a goof ball.

On Election Day 2004 I went to the polls happy and confident. It was all good!

Please, folks, remember that and put things in perspective.

that was a heartbreaking loss. America blew it in an epic way, and we are still paying the consequences.

As for the election being stolen, I just don't know. At the time I was so upset I really believed that it had been stolen and the truth would come out strong and clear. When it didn't I went into my shell as far as the conspiracy thing. was concerned. But I know a lot of good people here on DU believe it and so I don't argue about it...
