Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsWhat can Romney or Ryan do in the upcoming debates other than lie about their positions.
They can't tell the truth because it doesn't sell. The issues are foreign policy, domestic policy, the economy, the deficit, Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid.
We know what their position is (read the Ryan budget and the Repub platform.) We know what their lies are. Given those two ideas, wouldn't it be easy to debate them? Romney has no foreign policy experience, Obama has his years as Senator and President.
I think the last debate was a fluke because we didn't expect the lies that Romney told. He either has to double down on them or make up new ones.
If I were debating Romney on foreign policy I would show his lack of any kind of success over seas and the idea that he has Bush warmongers as policy advisers.
The killer thing to say is that Romney will only be someone with 10 fingers who can hold a pen and sign what ever bills Ryan, Rove and Norquist send him. I think that is a quote from Norquist.
