I have a question about Obamacare...

I'm going to bring up the debate...haha...I heard the President say this...

Number two, if you don't have health insurance, we're essentially setting up a group plan that allows you to benefit from group rates that are typically 18 percent lower than if you're out there trying to get insurance on the individual market.

Is this what's currently going on in the states, or is this an opening to a public option?

which will be up and running in 2014. The states are working on setting them up now—lists of participating insurers that meet the law's minimum standards. And yes, if you had to buy insurance on the individual market (are not covered at work), this will be cheaper, better quality, and less risky than it was before. It is not a public option, but it's pretty much the same as what government workers get.

private insurance. It's already cheaper than it was at least 5 years ago. Because of the 80% rule. (That 80% has to go to med costs)
