81% of the registered voters in the poll made it to likely voter and it seems unlikely to me that more than 81% of registered voters will actually vote.

If more than 81% of Ohio reg. do vote that would be excellent for Obama, of course.

The whole story of this poll is a 20 point gender gap with women versus only a 12 gap with men.

94% of Dems have their minds made up. 5% might change their minds
83% of Repubs have their minds made up 16% might still change their minds

than Dems.

The idea that the Repukes are more fired up this year, especially after the debate, may be the reason that some of the polls that sample likely voters, like Pew, are sampling more conservatives.

What we need is something to really fire up the less active Dems, like a really sharp performance by the Pres and by VP Biden tonight. (I can't wait for the debate).

And then following up with a strong GOTV program.

....then they'll never know, and they'll never get fired up for anything.

But, I simply do not believe that the GOP has more likely voters than the Dems....that's bogus.

If we carry both WI and OH, game over.

If he can swing WI, rMoney has options even if he loses OH.

Poll: Obama and Romney statistically tied among likely voters in Ohio NBC4 poll in Ohio - 45-44 (Obama+1), 8% 3.5% Margin of error, 10/9/12
Only a one sentence article and a 45 second video. It said something about results this morning but no hint of when the poll was conducted. NBC4 is the local TV channel in Columbus, OH.

Hopefully the CNN poll in the OP is bigger and better and more recent.

I had hoped and expected that whatever bounce Rmoney got from the first debate it would level out, and diminish, and that other things being equal Obama/Biden would reemerge as clear front runners. The CNN/ORC poll is an indication that that is happening.

That's encouraging.

We have to continue actively and energetically.

And Biden and Obama must do better in the upcoming debates.

If that happens then I think that we will be OK.

I can't guarantee long-term, or anything else for that matter - they *have to* do better in the upcoming debates, but knowing how any trading instrument like this moves, I saw a positive short-term buy.

Something tells me I haven't lost my touch.

Maybe I should have never stopped trading people's overreactions for a living.

I used to roll out of bed in my boxers, click to finish a trade, and bank $8k before going back to sleep. Those were good times.
