COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohio's election chief has appealed a ruling by a federal court that reinstates the final three early voting days in the battleground state.
Secretary of State Jon Husted (HYOO'-sted) on Tuesday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to make the final decision on whether the state Legislature or federal courts should set Ohio election laws.
Husted, a Republican, also asked the court to delay the lower court's decision while it decides whether to take the case.

It is a State issue and probably should go before their highest court..

The earlier decision was by the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Why do we leave it up to the States to run Federal Elections?

(21,475 posts)3. There is no such thing as a Federal election
All elections are either State or municiple (county, city). some do indeed elect people for Federal positions but those positions are to represent that State except for the Presidential and Presidents are actually elected by electoral college and not popular vote..

(24,764 posts)6. Elena Kagan is the circuit justice for the 6th Circuit
That's where Ohio's jurisdiction is located.

I'm confident she'll deny the appeal because Husted's motivation is designed to cheat for Rmoney. Good luck trying to get this frivolous appeal past Justice Kagan, asshole.

The most corrupt, partisan Supreme Court in history!
