Romney campaign: We're still losing

Romney campaign: We're still losing

by kos

This is how they fire up the troops?

Campaign officials said any change will be confined by Romney’s own cautious nature. And they are candid that their electoral map still looks terrible: Romney is behind in nearly every vital state. Ohio still looks very tough to win and New Hampshire, once a possibility, looks very bleak, officials say.

So yeah, they know they are still losing. But there's a silver lining!

But one big reason for hope inside the Romney campaign is that conservatives were so down on the campaign before the debate — and so rapturous during it — that they will give him a lot of maneuvering room to talk in more moderate ways.

So they're losing, and one of the reasons they are losing is that the nation got too much severe conservatism. But now, since he (metaphorically) punched President Barack Obama in the debates, conservatives will be more likely to let Romney wield his Etch-a-Sketch and move left.

Maybe they will, maybe they won't. Either way, that electoral map hasn't gotten any easier.

as far as I can tell without at least one of WI or OH.

And NV and IA add up to WI. CO is critical also.

Then he still has to sweep VA, NC and FL.

If I were working on that campaign, I would be very discouraged too.

Americans would never vote for that conservative, B-Movie Star, Red Outing Rat, Ronald Reagan. (Twice) No way, Americans would never actually elect that idiot son of George H. Bush. (Twice)

When there is voter suppression, electronic voting machines that can't provide a paper ballot recount, an elimination of network exit polling in 19 states, a corporate media that is willing Mitt Romney to win, and almost a billion dollars of Conservative Super PAC money, Romney has plenty of hope. I hope to God I'm wrong, but I won't believe it's over until Faux News is force to admit that President Obama won.

Ohio is moving towards light blue or even tossup and that is probably the key to everything on Nov. 5.

This trend scares the hell out of me. I'm not going to lie...

If Romney wins or steals it, he will be the first candidate whom the press has declared a "liar" to do so. That is usually the political kiss of death. Plus, he is a Mormon. No one likes Mormons.
