in Virginia for the first time.

Alexandria, specifically. Just passed the Media Research Center.

Wish I had a dozen eggs and maybe a brick.

Oh well, tomorrow will be a better day. Am slated to meet Steve Cohen in DC and get a small walking tour of the White House and surrounding area.

Please keep Obama's polls elevated until I can get back to TN.

Stay AWAY from the geese. They can get nasty - and commuting is a war zone. HopeHoops Oct 2012 #2

on King Street in Old Town...a couple of chains, but mostly locally owned and operated places.

Enjoy!

Just got done walking around Old Town, and spent a great deal of time on King also. What a beautiful little area. Unfortunately, there seemed to be an even mix of Obama/Romney signs. I was hoping for a sign blowout.

Perhaps that's why the geese get nasty. The snapping turtles on the road aren't all that pleasant either, but stop and help them get where they're headed. ALWAYS ALWAYS take them in the direction they are going. It doesn't do any good to take them back to where they came from. They know where they want to go and they'll just try again.

Oh, and watch out for rampaging Republicans with money hanging out of their mouths. They're worse than the turtles.

On Edit: Also avoid K Street in DC. Nasty shit, that.
