3 more votes for President Obama in Ohio today.

My brother and sister-in-law who almost always vote republican said they can't believe the obvious lies coming from Robme.

But the best one of all is my 83 year old mother who hasn't voted since 1992 when she voted for President Clinton. I took her to register back then. Today, I took her to the Board of Elections and she re registered (today was the last day of registration in Ohio) and then she walked over to the voting booth and voted for President Obama. She is scared to death about her Social Security and Medicare.

Especially about my mom. She really is not a political person, but all this talk about SS and Medicare has her concerned. Oh, and by the way, she voted for Sherrod Brown for Senate too.

Liar Strikes Out!

I got word that my sister's 92 year old Republican mother in law who's voted since forever will not be voting this year due..to not liking romney. They're in NY but it's pretty strong reaction from the debate for a repub. Hopefully there are more like her in Fla, Ohio, and Virginia!

I try not to freak out but I'm a little freaked out because of the whole Social Security thing being privatized, too, if mitt and the media have their way.

and then we have about 3 who are voting for Romney. I am shamed to say..we have a few one issue voters in our family..the pro lifers who only vote for that one issue. The one brother who is a lifer says he has to vote that way..even though his job is getting outsourced and they are closing his plant.(also owned by a Bain Capital subsidy)These people(my family) make me want to throw up because they don't want to vote for their own best interests but rather..vote for a isssue which will never directly effect them. Foolish.

Just keep doing what you're doing. There is nothing you can do to make them change their minds, but at least you can reasonably discuss the issues with the rational family members.

...Obama does not financially profit from the abortion industry. Romney does. Bain Capital, in the time Romney was listed as its legal head and even when he was attending Bain board meetings, was an owner of Stericycle, a major disposer of the dead bodies of aborted children in the United States. (See: Romney Invested in Medical-Waste Firm That Disposed of Aborted Fetuses, Government Documents Show.) Bain owned a share of Stericycle until 2004, selling its interest for a profit in the tens of millions of dollars. We can parse what Romney's 1999 "retroactive retirement" from Bain means, but he still gets an annual payout from the firm. To the extent those dollars are part of Bain's Stericycle profits, a strong argument exists that Romney is an abortion profiteer. How pro-life is that?...

that will not vote for Obama because of pro-life or LGBT issues... They're in TN which is a red state. There are some issues that Obama support I don't agree with, but I do see that his overall agenda is in the best interest of the American People...

Obama is the one that stops abortions, by preventing pragnancies. Studies have been released that say that abortion will be lessened to a very low percent because of improved access to birth control. Also, because of the Affordable Healthcare Act more will be able to afford having children because they'll have insurance, so more live births. If they are truly wanting to prevent abortions they would vote for the one giving the tools to prevent them, rather than trying to create a black market (which is what would happen the repub way of making it illegal.)
