We'll more likely see more of the same from the Republicans: harassing and constricting reproductive rights, especially for the poor, but not making any fundamental changes. That way they can continue to mobilize their base by fulminating about abortions and denouncing Roe v. Wade.

For six years, the Republicans held the Presidency and both houses of Congress. Abortion remained legal. I keep wondering when the anti-abortionists will realize that they're being played by cynical politicians who don't actually give a damn about the supposed "slaughter of the unborn" or "the new Holocaust" or whatever other slogan they scream.

Abortion is a way to get people to the polls, not something to spend any political capitol on if you get into office. If you do, you may lose it as an issue for the next election.

away completely, but it will be restricted severely as they will need to show some sort of "victory" to their base.

But under a GOP prez and Congress, progress on other gender/lgbt issues would either stall or move backwards.
