He was wrong, lacking specifics and clearly outclassed. That having been said, no one can claim he was a bumbling fool.

He lost.

There were several times he came up short, unprepared to respond to the truth, especially the way Joey laid it out.

Oh and on Medicare.

He just embarrassed himself, and it got more and more painful.

Joey creamed him.

Sounded like one too. I'm female and pushing 59. And I absolutely can't stand that kind of pipsqueak.

Biden rolled over him like a monster truck over a toy car.

That Smarmy did as well as smarm can do. But Joe did it better with truth.

My only fault is that no one really jumps on P. Ryan Smarm when he brings up how BI-Partisism does work. Like it's the dems that won't reach across the isle.

They need to call them out on that shit and let the American people know why things did not get done as fast and as well as they could and should have.

I don't think the people know and understand the magnitude of the obstruction. I don't think they understand that the republicans would rather the whole country fail than to let a black man be a successful president. Let alone another democrat.

On these boards we or at least I, often complain of Obama trying too hard to reach across the isle to the republicans cold stares and shit grins. But, I don't think the average person realizes exactly why things have not been fixed yet. Why more hasn't changed. They just think as the news wants them to, that "both sides do it"

of the team meeting Ryan was part of when, in the face of economic meltdown, the Republicans made it their #1 priority to use absolute obstruction as a means of making Pres Obama a single termer.

I really wish Joe had gone there. Don't know why he didn't....

Ryan did far worse than Edwards did against Cheney in 2004.... maybe because he has no magic underwear.

He presented himself as well as he could, and he made the strongest case he was able to make - for himself, for his ticket, and for his party and its whole putrid philosophy.

And he went down in flames. And his ticket and his party and its philosophy are gonna follow him down.

And no one's gonna be able to say he was just "off his game" or "made a misstep".

It's a fine, fine evening in the USA.

He lost steam about halfway through. His closing statement was pretty poor as well. It came off as too prepared, too canned.

I think your assessment of his closing statement is dead on. When he finished, I turned to Mrs. Ed and said, "I honestly don't think he persuaded a single undecided voter in the country with that little speech".
