Uncle Joe Took Eddie Munster Out Behind The Woodshed
Joe was passionate and had his facts spot-on. He called Paul Lyin' out on all of his lies and struck emotional chords that will resonate with the middle class. He whooped Lyin' up one side and down the other. He looked like the grizzled voice of experience while Lyin' looked like a guy who had only read about foreign policy in books.
And that closing statement? Good Lord. Can you say............REHEARSED??? Paul Lyin's closing statement came off as fake as Pamela Anderson's tits. From his pre-rehearsed head tilts and compassionate looks to the robotic speech to the stopwatch-timed pauses. Fake, fake, FAKE!!!
I particularly liked when Joe started talking about his family being killed in an auto accident, and Paul Lyin' immediately erased the smug grin from his face and morphed it into the look of faux concern and compassion. Another clearly rehearsed facial expression.
And just like Obama did to Rmoney, Joe would point out that Lyin' couldn't give you any specifics, and then Lyin' would proceed to respond by not giving specifics. I also liked how Lyin' answered the question regarding how negative the campaign had gotten with nothing but smear attacks. Way to miss the point, Paul.
You know you've scored a decisive victory when all the Republicans can do to criticize you is take issue with Joe Biden's laughs and mannerisms. Oh, and they're all up in arms about how he seemed disgruntled or outraged or indignant or whatever. If you had to sit there and listen to someone spew such blatant lies about you, I think a little bit of outrage would be considered justified.
Great job, Uncle Joe. I would expect this performance to erase any perceived gains Rmoney got last week. And not only that, but I think he showed Obama the exact right way to handle his debates going forward. Rmoney is a bully, and the way you deal with bullies is by punching them in the mouth.
