I think out of all 4 debaters that we've seen so far, he has connected the best with viewers at home. He nailed it with perfect timing, looking directly at the camera each time he wanted to drive home a point to the people watching at home. When he was combative, he was aimed squarely at Ryan. So he managed to come across as both affable and sincere, yet also tough.

Besides his debating experience, another advantage that he had was his age. I think so far, if anyone has had a shot at the coveted angry middle-aged white guy crowd, then Biden took that advantage by making Ryan look like a punk.

Agree, we really should see more of him.

I suppose if you're already a member of the republican party, then yes, you might think Joe laughed to much.

Joe looked REAL. He did not look like he was made out of plastic.

Note how they cut Ryan short... since he really didn't have anything to say- certainly not something they want to highlight!

Hello all,

I found you guys off of a link someone posted in a live-thread that was streaming during the debate on the news site my partner and I were watching. I felt I had to post this tonight.

My partner is a big 'D' democrat, always has been. I always leaned more towards being a little 'd' democrat, or an independent for as long as I can remember. I've got a mean independent streak in me- I guess you could say I don’t like being bossed around.

Up until tonight, I've been completely undecided. I admit it, I've been fence-sitting. But tonight was the night. Joe's performance tonight was obviously the push I needed to solidify my vote for the President. Joe really spoke to me tonight. I can’t say I was in tears, obviously. It wasn’t that kind of moment for me.
When Joe looked at me (I felt as if he was looking right at me), and asked me to ‘trust him’, how could I not? The man has it. I’m hoping that the President does just what he said before the debate, and continues to just ‘let Joe be Joe’. America needs to see the President, I admit. But tonight, my vote is proof that we can’t underestimate the power that the Vice-President exudes, and his power to influence people.
I’m talking to you now, Mr.President- you need to get Smokin’ Joe OUT there for people to see! If you want to win, you’ll need to do everything in your power. Joe is your ace in the hole. Use him. Please, stop underestimating him. Thank you!

I came up with the name since I considered myself a little d independent, that and my partner does not like the color purple, and red with a little blue makes brown.
