When Alaskans got a closer/different look at her their opinions of her changed. Alaska's population is pretty much the equivalent of a congressional district. Hopefully the people in his district are asking themselves the same questions today.

Joe Kennedy didn't want Jack to get the nomination for Stevenson's VP (JFK did campaign on the floor for it against his fathers wishes) in 1957. Joe knew there was a good chance Stevenson wouldn't win and it would have been a fatal blow to Jack's political future to be on that ticket so early in his career.

Have my fingers crossed that I barely remember Ryan's face, much less name, in 10 years or so.

Ole' Joe Biden really did a number on the "Paul Ryan Mystique" today. You have to remember that the Very Serious People acted like Joe is a dimwit and that Paul Ryan is a super-wonk who would wipe the floor with Joe Biden. Joe crushed any semblance of the super-wonk like a slushy on the 4th of July.

I mean can you imagine Charles Krauthammer's beffudlement that Paul Ryan got taken school by Loose-lipped Joe Biden??

in a given primary will be the GOP's nominee for the next cycle. The past republican VP nominees are: Palin, Cheney, Kemp, Quayle, HW Bush, Dole, Agnew. Only two nominees in the group, and one of them had to wait 20 years to win the nomination (Bob Dole also finished 2nd in the '88 primaries).

we won't have to worry about Ryan in 2016, especially if he gets voted out his district in November.

Hopefully the people of Wisconsin deliver a double blow.
