Just got off the phone with a friend who watches FOX "News"....

.....he is a Liberal but he watches it with the idea of "know your enemy" and he says everything Ryan said made perfect sense if you are a FOX "News" viewer. All this talk about Obama blocking Republican efforts to impose sanctions against Iran, the rise of the enemy because of Obama's "perceived weakness", the tax increases on the the middle class, the increase in unemployment, the massive spending by Obama, the destruction of small business because of Obamacare, the payoffs to political contributors with lucrative contracts, The whole "Death Panel" thing, the stealing of money from Medicare to pay for Obamacare. ALL OF IT is daily FOX "News" boilerplate.

This really IS a campaign from the bubble, for the bubble. You have to be IN the bubble to think these guys are the saviours America desperately needs and FOX "News" viewers are cheering to hear Ryan "educate" America which is what we have ALL experienced when in a discussion with a Conservative and they claim we are "ignorant" and feel it is their DUTY to TEACH, then they proceed to spew out lies they KNOW to be "facts".

Which always makes me crack up. Especially when they used to go on about WMDs going into Syria as "proved" by an article on Newsmax and verified by another article on World Net Daily and yet another in The Mooney Times.

A LOT of families have a relative they can't can't stand who is a loyal FOX "News" viewer. They are nasty and arrogant and never admit they are wrong and launch into a rage over politics and if you try to tell them to calm down they act like you are the enemy.

Let's call him "Uncle Bob".

Go to the rest of the family and ask them one question, "Do you want Uncle Bob to get what he wants? If he's hard to live with now, imagine how insufferable he will be if his guy wins. You will have to put up with him strutting around and acting even more superior than he does now......So go vote for the other guy,....and take a friend...."

He's the worst wing nut in our mostly Republican family and extended family. He thinks Obama is a Muslim and the whole bit. The one good thing is most of the kids and grand kids are Democrats and support Obama.

In about 10-20 years, we (the Dems in the family) will be in the majority. YES!!!

There is going to be a TOTAL rejection of the entire Conservative ideology across the board coinciding with the realization that the Cold War is over and the role of the United States is no longer to promote Capitalism throughout the world.

Wall Street numbers will no longer be the driving indicator of the success of the nation and the idea of harmony with other nations and striving to better ourselves as a species worldwide will become the new goal for the entire world.

This is an environment where Republicans have no place as their dreams and goals are far too SMALL. They are all about preserving power for a self appointed cadre of white males who are in a panic that they can no longer justify nor hold onto their positions as the soul judges over how humanity is to live on this world.

Like talking to a high pressure human powerpoint presentation. Visits to him can be very uncomfortable. I'm dead-on serious and literally hoping his spirit will be so broken after the shallacking the GOP is going to get he'll have no other choice but to just enjoy the good parts of his life ( which he ignores now since politics infiltrate every solitary thought and interest in his head )

I can't figure it out because she otherwise seems like a pretty cool person. She's a musician, photographer, has a great cooking website -- and swears by Fox News. There's just no talking to her about political things or current events because the ONLY news source she trusts is Fox, and she always has to have the last word. It's totally inexplicable.

I would smash things and I like my things.

They do that at Media Matters too. They wade through hours of that crap and it doesn't make them crazy. This guy is a retired UAW Shop Steward and there is NO WAY he's going to get converted.

Have you ever watched FOX "News"? I have. The number one thing you notice is the sleaze. All the females look they left the house and forgot the bottom half of their outfit. All legs are given a ton of makeup to look naked and flawless. We are supposed to believe they never knock their shin into a coffee table,...ever... Then there are the constant teasers for some story about a sex study or a strip club or how to please your man. When there are two women together they flirt with each other and the guys all come off like they've done all the women on the set and the women joke about them not being that good.

I've come to the conclusion the "conservatives" are a bunch of classic "dirty old men" especially when I hear their demographic is in their 70s.

When they hear information....it goes into their ears and comes straight out of their mouths. When we hear information, no matter who it comes from, how reliable the source....it goes into the ears and before coming out of the mouth, it makes a little detour through the brain! We think about it...we question it...we check it out...we make sure it's accurate before spouting it off. That's why we don't have a FOX NEWS or Rush Limbaugh. They have to rely on the non-thinking crowd.

A perfect example is the lady Chris Matthews interviewed who accused Obama of being a communist...but didn't know what communisim was. It would have taken just a little google search, but no, too much trouble...don't want to strain that little pea brain. So funny how they interchange communism, socialism and Marxism...when they are three different things.

Doesn't matter how many times you tell them Hitler was on the Political Right. One of his followers from the beginning got so pissed at him over his NOT being a Socialist that Hitler had him and his brownshirts killed and replaced with the SS.

These Right Wingers are CONVINCED Liberalism is to blame for all of their misery and voting Republican will make them rich.

They have created the Obama that sat in Clint Eastwood's empty chair. They have created such a vacuum of nonsense that they don't even realize how off the reservation they sound. And those in the vacuum have spouted such nonsense for so long; its as if they begin to believe their own bs... Kind of like Wall St with the derivatives and the never ending increasing price on homes... They begin to believe the bs and lies they live within, despite others seeing it and warning about it... Eventually, there's too much bs, and everyone sees it.

There will be no loyalty, except loyalty towards the Party.... ....There will be no laughter, except the laugh of triumph over a defeated enemy. There will be no art, no literature, no science. When we are omnipotent there will be no need of science.... ....There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed.... ...always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—forever.
