Joe Biden has been a politician for 39 years

Paul Ryan has been alive for 42 years... where does this guy get off telling VP Biden how it's "done" in politics? That's something that hasn't been mentioned a lot in all the stories from the debate and one of the things that probably bothered me the most about Ryan. His attitude that somehow HE knows better how politics work than anyone else... he certainly knows better how to work at getting nothing done and that's a brand of politics that people are tired of. I wish someone would hit back on this... I know it's inconsequential in the bigger picture but it says a lot about the "values" he kept harping on.

Edited to add:

It was fun watching Joe take this guy apart last night and his passion when it came to talking about the middle class, made that portion of last nights debate the best part, IMO.

of course, he can't actually do that, but it would've been fun. K&R

He doesn't strike me as particular dim-witted, but he's never said anything that any person of average intelligence couldn't have come up with, and yet he's praised for it from one end of the media to the other.

But when a Democrat--or heaven forbid a woman--shows a command of the facts, they're derided as "professorial" or "school marmish."

He and his gang of rejectionists sit there in Congress and block anything that could conceivably benefit people other than the 1%.

Pay-to-play is what that party's best known for, and Ryan's allegedly done their numbers homework for them.

It was theater of the absurd. I'm sure we'll be hearing
about it from some corners.

Paul seemed like a high schooler.

Not one. Biden nailed him every time and on every single point. Ryan was reduced to trying to keep his poker face but had to rely on hiding it behind that glass of water.

I can see him blowing into town and wooing the latest widow off her feet, marrying her, taking all her money and leaving her destitute, humiliated and brokenhearted as he blows into another town after his next victim.

Ewwwwwwwwy Wasilla Wanda! Two totally self delusional & not ready for prime or sub-prime time.

VP JOE however kicked both their asses truth & specifics be dammed! POTUS will take rounds 3, 4, 5...and 6 (November 6)

After the supposedly left of center MSNBC carried on & on after THE POTUS' debate last week...& everyday up until tonight...I knew regardless of what the outcome was tonight I would not watch any commentary post debate.

My solution post this last debate was to do what I did last week...I came here, read, posted,& went to sleep. More later..but I did want to thank all y'all for being here for real debating including respecting each other regardless if we always agree.

We've been here at DU for while and I can honestly say this place is a breath of fresh air...not unlike Biden was tonight...or any other night.

As for R&R the truth will set them free! (not sure if they would even know truth if they saw it) My side hope once we re-elect Obama-Biden on.November 6th, is that Lyan's district will vote for his opponent. Get rid of two for the price of 1...%.!

Biden made it look like a good thing, he came across as someone who has been trying to solve problems for a long time. Ryan came across as someone that wants to tear progress down, that's how I saw it anyway.
