HIGHLAND HEIGHTS — Former Northern Kentucky University President Jim Votruba will earn $287,675 per year, or 85 percent of his former salary, when returning to teach two doctoral level classes in fall 2013...

...In addition, NKU also has funded two separate insurance policies that will provide $45,000 a year through 2018 and $38,500 a year through 2022. NKU has completed payments on the policies.

Overall, Votruba will earn total cash payments of at least $371,000 annually his first several years on the faculty.

As part of a deal he struck with NKU’s Board of Regents in May, Votruba also gets a $30,000 office budget and a full-time assistant.
