Joe fails to show up at the debate thursday

JOE THE PLUMBER that is.

Republican congressional candidate Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher has sunk plans for a congressional candidate's debate Thursday at Cleveland's City Club with Toledo Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur.

One has to earn the right to be called a plumber, pass certain tests, etc. Joe has not done that so he is not a plumber. Wishing to own a plumbing business while working as a plumber's helper does not make one a plumber.

Would we call a Physician's Assistant who wanted to start a medical practice a Medical Doctor? No.
