GOP's "Big Ideas" DIED LAST NIGHT: "A Bloody Death-Buried W/O Ceremony Salted/Strewn With Garlic'

There is a deeply held Beltway myth of Paul Ryan, Man of Big Ideas, and it dies hard. But, if there is a just god in the universe, on Thursday night, it died a bloody death, was hurled into a pit, doused with quicklime, buried without ceremony, and the ground above it salted and strewn with garlic so that it never rises again.

This crap about "wonky Ryan" is complete fabrication.

He is literally that poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more. It is a tale. told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing...

He is as much an empty suit as Rmoney and the bullshit that comes out of his mouth is completely meaningless. It's gibberish because when people call him on it after being dazzled by the veracity of how he says it, he ALWAYS begs off getting into the details as being "too complex" or it "would take too long". And that's because none of it is real. THAT should be the clue.

His earnest demeanor and self-important phrasing make him SOUND like he knows what he's talking about. This truthiness is his schtick; it's designed to make low-information voters think he is providing actual information. And by the way, you could almost hear his handlers telling him to remain codescendingly calm, ramble a lot to suck up all the time, and try to make Biden lose his cool by never shutting up.

If one pulls up the video on the portion of what I think was the (or one of the) first joint Healthcare Summit sessions done in 2009, where Ryan was proffered to provide feedback from the rethug point of view about the process and what they wanted or didn't want, the rethug Congressmen sitting directly next to him and all around him, can be seen literally gawking and smirking with wide-eyed wonder, as if he was their offspring doing his first show and tell in the classroom.

They were that enthralled. By absolute bullshit.

And that's because he probably told them that it was "too complex" to try to describe to them and he would "take care of the details of the proposal".

I had to blink when I re-watched that part of it a couple weeks ago because I remember watching it live back then and didn't really pay him much mind, because he came across very arrogant.

He's a total fraud.

And the result was beautiful to watch. Liars deserve to be thrown into the fires of hell, in particular when they have made their career working to hurt the most needy among us, like Paul Ryan has made his career.

For the second time in as many presidential elections, Joseph Biden got to debate a young, attractive Republican candidate who was demonstrably less qualified to to be president than I am to be chairman of the World Bank. Joseph Biden is a very lucky man. The Great Political Matchmaker in the Sky keeps handing him people who are trying — and failing — to fight above their weight class, and he keeps blowing through what can now legitimately be called the Bum of the Quadrennium Club.

"Of course pundits are aghast that he was impolite however, had he been more polite, these same pundits would be asking where the hard-hitting take-no-prisoners Joe Biden was."

Joe's strategy was necessary and effective; when your opponent is telling nonsensical lies you laugh at him and interrupt with the truth.
