General Discussion

After Joe bloviated and Mika nodded, that ordinary folks don't like to see capitalism torn down, guess what? Willy Geist asked a New Hampshire couple in the coffee shop who they voted for. They both voted for Huntsman but the husband squarely disputed what the panel was saying about capitalism. They clearly thought the predatory capitalism WAS a real issue.
The "ordinary folks" straightened Joe and Mika out right on their own program!
Wonderful. I hope the video of that brief interview is made available.
So much for "Morning Spin."

(63,912 posts)They always brag that they do. But then something like this happens and it shows that even if they are getting out they have to LISTEN as well...
Clearly, they were spinning what the repub machine told them to spin...it was pretty plain and pretty awful...

(63,912 posts)come to their book signings and how they all agree with him and her...what a load! They take a group of people who "self selected" taking the time to go to a book signing as evidence of how ordinary people are thinking. That is laughable.
Today it was clear they were trying to spin a new narrative to the benefit of Mitt Romney. The TV got snapped off when they announced that John Sununu was their next guest...another snarling Republican, just what the American people want to see (and hear)...

(21,078 posts)they make it and who suffers. That is what the discussion should be. If you make a load of money, as Elizabeth Warren stated, "God Bless" but who was hurt?

I think they were afraid to go too far with that line of questioning. They just might get to the question of Romney vs. Obama in the General and might hear something they don't wanna...

(10,115 posts)that were in trouble of going under. That's not what Bain does. They go after companies that they think should be doing better, not companies that are near failure. You are going to hear a lot in the near future that will prop Mitt up that what he did was what any business does. The lies will come like the running of the bulls in Pamplona. The bottom line is that many people lost their jobs while at the same time Bain lined their pockets with millions of dollars.

(1,601 posts)Younger Romney at Bain with his pals and lots of cash stuffed in their pockets. That one picture speaks louder than all the words.

(20,819 posts)the nominee, Obama's team is already on this, having this picture ready to roll. Someone should post this on Facebook. I wish I knew where it came from and had the tech skills to do that.

(82,849 posts)So, what were you seven titans of industry producing in exchange for all that lovely, lovely money? At the end of the day, what had been made that could be sold in the market? How many people went home from their jobs having earned a fair day's wage for their work, and how much of what they had done hadn't made it into the pockets of those workers? What, really, were you doing other than interposing yourselves into the stream of capital created by other people's labor, and siphoning that money into your own pockets?

(20,819 posts)quite telling picture. I knew Romney was bad, but not this bad. Of course, his "firing" statement a few days ago goes right along with this as well.
