Remember The GOP/Big Business Goal ---- Make $10 - $12 An Hour Top Pay ----

for 80% of the work force. That means with no benefits. They have already done that for many jobs. $20 an hour will go the way of $1 a gallon gas. Service economy means low wage economy.

They also believe that the minimum wage is too high. Romney's no regulations is about dropping the minimum wage to zero. The GOP will not openly say that.

I have been watching their game for 32 years and they have the public where they want them. Many many people accept this new normal in the work force. And I run into young people who make $10 an hour and are happy with that because they know no other scenario.

The new economy works for the billionaires because greed knows no bounds. We also ignore the fact that the same goons are pushing the same agenda on Europe. That is what austerity is all about over there.

The GOP argues for good jobs, but good jobs to them is $10 and hour. They are the family values crowd. And they think that you should pay full taxes on your $10 and hour job.

The general public is just so ignorant about how the labor game works. And the GOP takes advantage of that ignorance.

You're too generous. I think the goal is $2 a day, not $12 an hour. freshwest Oct 2012 #1

The game plan is to create an economy and society where you have the "worker elite" of up to 30%. The rest of the work force is on their own hoping to crack the top 30%. It is like the game "king of the mountain".

It is an economy based on ''enfranchised" and "non enfranchised" workers. Just look at the tiered pay systems that business and the GOP like. In many companies you now have "incidental" workers and full time workers. The incidental workers bust their butt hoping to take over a full time spot. It is the "tantalus" game, but the worker never gets the grapes.

Right now there are millions of workers in this predicament. And some of them have been there for years. The media of course does not report such inequality.

The idea is to keep people starving and desperate so when you give them a crumb, they will devour it . This scheme has been the plan since Reagan and it takes hold more and more. The President has no control over this process.

calls for the end of minimum wage. Senator Grassley has said that our wages should be more in line with China. Do you really think they want to pay $10.00 an hour?
