One segment on the show is about the GOP/Fox News echo chamber, which was pretty effective in the past.
That effective echo chamber has all but been dismantled during this campaign season.
Every time they try to create an damaging meme against the President, it generally falls flat. The polls show this and I think that most people are on to Fox's bullshit.
I'd like to know how this happened.
Any ideas as to how Fox was neutered?

It takes too much energy to keep up with the never ending rage fest. After a while it's exhausting. Only the truly crazed devoted have remained. They're just like rage junkies, or maybe just too addicted to quit.

2. Personal contact. Liberals tend to be nice people. People are more persuaded by nice than by mean people that want to eat your cookies then make fun of you when you don't have any cookies.
3. Reality. Facts have a liberal bias.
4. Everyone or nearly everyone has been or knows someone who is in the 47%. It is almost impossible to not know someone or have been part of the 47%. If you live long enough you will get SS and medicare. If you were in the service, you might not have paid federal taxes. If you are disabled, or poor. If you are a student. Even if you are none of these things, you probably know someone close to you who is. I am a student, so I know I am in this 47% until I graduate and get a full salary.
5. Most people don't want to see the elderly become homeless or starve. Ryan is that guy who doesn't care if this happens and it shows.
6. When unemployment is high people become very well aware of how important a safety net is. They also want a job. But, if a candidate shows they helped create unemployment and at the same time talk about getting rid of the safety net, well I think the results are predictable.
that's all for now.

(21,155 posts)The bogus bs of fox lead them to false/misleading stories. The social media and trending now is what is leading the corporate media. Fox has become the old people's network. The daily show and others have pointed out the absurdity of fox and now they are the clown car. The media hounds no longer chase fox's tail.
