I filled out a ballot and mailed it for a friend of mind who is blind. She is a republican, and I had to swallow hard as I penciled in the circle under your candidate, then mail it at the post office so that it would go in before the cut off date. This was not a pleasant thing for me to do, but 1. She is a friend, and 2. Thousands of people have died defending our right to vote for the candidate of our choice. I would never, ever disrespect that.

Yet you disrespect me by coming into MY HOUSE and telling me HOW I SHOULD VOTE, and mocking my choices.

You, sir, are not a patriot or a gentleman. You are scum.

I've worked in large corporate environments most of my career, as technical support.I understand where your "business reasoning" is coming from because I've seen companies outsource because they had to, not because they wanted to.

But what you need to know is that this circular argument is lacking a critical component of reasoning, companies like Bain and Romney by association started these policies and the rest of the business community has been dragged into it - so now that's just the way it is - doesn't wash in a country full of free thinking and creatively industrious people.

What we here at the Democratic Underground are united to do is stop these kinds of crazy trade agreements that kill American jobs, because a country full of unemployed people is not good for America. Romney should see that, but he doesn't. He gives good lip service about being tough with China, but his actions betray him.

Are you a serious questioner who really believes in having solid American businesses that can really compete or are you going to let Bain, Romney and all the other billionaires decide that the only jobs left in America under their watch will be US servicing them and being damn happy about it - or else? That's the main question you need to answer if you want to have positive conversations here.

Honestly, unless you already are a billionaire or mega millionaire, you'll be better off under Obama too. The insane greed of those at the top will cause them quite shortly to turn against their own anyway.

READ the Community Standards. Advocating Romney's Anti-American Job policies IS a violation of our terms.

There is full on Democracy where people engage in discussion about possible compromise, but at this stage of the game and with this particular issue, people are read up and fed up and don't have time to teach you if you really are not informed enough to know the whole history of why the DU has taken this stance.

In THIS community with the amount of research we have collectively done, there is no room for arguing that outsourcing is just the way it is. We are on the team that wants to change that, bring American jobs back and make America REALLY strong again, including the middle class.
