Even if Romney takes NC, VA, FL, CO and IA, he will still lose.
He is not going to flip WI or MI. He has never led there and won't on election night.
Even if he takes the 5 states listed PLUS NV, the best he can do is tie.
He won't though. Romney has reached his high point. He will not win NC, VA, FL, CO, IA and NV. There really aren't any other states in play for him to change that hard math.
Ohio is looking very, very good for Obama.

And a tie will send it to the Republican-controlled House. Who do you think they'd choose.
But, in fact, such a split would actually be likely to give Mittens a 270-268 outright win, as he's leading in one of Maine's districts, and they split their electoral vote.

But they have to make it look like a race instead of a rout, because otherwise the Citizen's United money glut goes away.

(322 posts)Please send out/up some good mental vibes/prayers for Ohio and ferry them through the pass of voter suppression. Those folks are besieged with wolves right now. There have been reports on DU of folks affiliated with the RNC knocking on Dems' doors and saying they shouldn't be on the voter registration list.
