RYAN Tries To Hang With The 47%, Fails Miserably.

So there Paul Ryan was, photo op-ing his little brains out at a soup kitchen in Youngstown, Ohio, but dang if he didn’t get there a little late. The food had been served, the place was empty, and volunteers had cleaned up. Timing is everything.
http://thepoliticalcarnival.net/2012/10/13/paul-ryan-barred-reporters-from-his-convo-with-homeless-in-ohio-and-washed-dishes-that-did-not-appear-to-be-dirty/

When Ryan did talk to some men who appeared to be homeless, as he did when he left the venue, reporters were not allowed to listen in on the exchange.

The visit by Ryan came after a town hall meeting Saturday morning at Youngstown State University.

After greeting and thanking a handful of volunteers from St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Canfield, Ohio — who said they typically visit the St. Vincent DePaul Society every Saturday and serve food from 10 to 11:30 a.m. — Ryan, his wife and their young children headed to the kitchen, donned white aprons and offered to clean up some dishes.

Ryan stood at the sink and took some large metal pans that did not appear to be dirty, soaped them up and rinsed them, remarking as the cameras clicked and the TV cameras rolled that he had spent a summer washing dishes when he was younger.

You mean the homeless get up before noon? Who knew? Either that or it was on purpose so he could look like he tried, but had some difficulties getting there on time.

I hope the people he talked to are ok. I don't think I would have talked to him. I wouldn't want Lyin Ryan cooties.

And if he's waiting for me to cry him a river over "he had spent a summer washing dishes" he'd better sit down somewhere comfy. I grew up washing dishes in a cafe and he can bite me.

We need to see some sweat (the campaign no doubt has access to some hypo-allergenic glycerin they can spray on). Oh, and smear some uneaten Chicken a la King, creamed chipped beef, and creamed spinach on the purdy white apron. Remember, wash and then rinse. And refrain from kissing your biceps.

Nope. Still wouldn't buy it.

I think showing up late after all the work has been done emphasizes the importance RYAN puts on volunteerism.

I know it wasn't the Ryan family that made it look so clean. I can see the real volunteers having a mad cleaning party for Ryan, probably why he was late b/c the true volunteers needed extra time to do the job. Then in Slinks the slime ball family. Picture perfect moment to send back to the voters. I can imagine "we got to look like we are really working". I imagine Queen Ann saying I hope we win b/c I said I would never ever do the kind of work my help does."
