Just like they didn't care that Romney lied and bullied the moderator in his debate, yet they're in a snit over Joe Biden's "smiling".

i mean, i opposed the shrub tax cuts, but i didn't recalculate my taxes at the previous rates and pay that instead.

i completely disagree with any opposition to the stimulus, unless it was in an effort to get MORE (which it obviously wasn't in rayn's case). but once it had passed, it would be pretty negligent of a congresscritter to deny his state/district such funds. that's consistent only if you think the idea was that the entire nation needed a stimulus except your own state/district.

now the racism thing, that's a whole nother story, and yes, it runs through just about everything republican these days....

i didn't oppose the tax cuts because i didn't want to pocket some extra money.

i opposed the tax cuts because i though the federal government couldn't afford it for the entire country and that an unfair portion was going to the rich.

having lost that fight, i'm not going to let everyone else get their cut and deny my family theirs.

if i were a congresscritter and actually had a vote on the tax cut, that logic wouldn't change one iota.

exact same thinking goes for rayn's stimulus vote. having lost the vote, why on earth should he punish his constituents? that would be the worst of both worlds from his point of view -- federal spending for the rest of the country, but none for his constituents.

should democratic congresscritters voluntarily be paying taxes at clinton levels for the sake of some foolish consistency?

So long as Romney has enough fingers to sign bills and has an IQ of over 90, a large number of conservatives will vote for him no matter what because they think that the Democrats are anti-white or too pro-minority (same thing to them because in their feudalistic mindset, "freedom" and "rights" are zero-sum resources).
