This is why Central Floridians are skeptical in Obama's rainmakers

This happens here all the time. We get people in the Dem party who have close relationships with Republicans. How that pans out for us, is that we really don't know who to count on anymore.

Chris Dorworth is the next Speaker of the Florida House. He's a Republican with so many financial problems it's just mind-boggling. Here's the article:

Turns out, Florida’s trial lawyers are even bigger Chris Dorworth fans than we realized.

A handful of personal-injury law firms – including Orlando’s Morgan & Morgan – this week bundled $23,000 to a new political group that is affiliated with Dorworth and is helping pay for television ads promoting the Lake Mary Republican and future House speaker.

On Wednesday of last week, the “Florida Enterprise Foundation” received $10,000 from Morgan & Morgan (the firm owned by Democratic uber-fundraiser John Morgan); $5,000 from Levin, Papantonio, Thomas, Mitchell, Rafferty & Proctor of Pensacola; $5,000 from Todd E. Copeland & Associates of Orlando; and $3,000 from Newsome Melton of Orlando. All are active within the Florida Justice Association, which lobbies against restrictions on civil lawsuits.

Of course, Dorworth’s new group also got a $25,000 check from Walt Disney World – which has been the lawmaker’s single-biggest corporate contributor and which annually lobbies in favor of greater restrictions on civil lawsuit

So far, the foundation’s biggest expense is $24,000 on television ad promoting Dorworth, who is running for re-election against Democrat Mike Clelland.
