apples and oranges

Wouldn't Biden or Dean be a better debate partner for Obama than Kerry?

Like Obama, Kerry tends to keep his cool and is polite and respectful. We saw a different side to him at the convention, but that's not how he is during debates.

President Obama should be practicing with a person who can show an aggressive, hostile side, shouldn't he?

In mock debates, Obama should be confronted with flashes of anger and hostility. I'm not sure that Kerry is adding that personality component to the practice debates. Romney will surely display those traits in the next two debates. Obama has to be ready to be treated with open hostility and aggression.

No I was thinking more of Rmoney. He is sleazy and played very dirty, lying through the whole thing. Just saying those guys are upstanding. It must be hard to find a dem who could play a repub.

No one was calling Biden or Dean dishonest, sheesh. It's not helpful to go about policing people's comments.

To Mitt's political career in Mass. I had the "Kerry? Really?" reaction at first too, but I think it makes sense.

rMoneys total etch a sketch reversal of all he had been campaigning on was not foreseen and I forgive our President for that. He went into that debate on solid ground with facts and a pleasant demeanor but then red bull mitt came at him like a mad man who denied everything he'd said or done his whole life up to that point. No one could have done better than Obama did under the circumstances. Robme doesn't have the element of surprise this time or the next time though so I suspect that fortunes will change come tomorrow night.

Not that any Democrat is all that Romneyish. Money Boo-Boo is the most Republican Republican I've seen in years. But I agree. Kerry is too patrician; Romney works to hide his patrician roots. You need a sparring partner with real saleman like instincts.
