(27,985 posts)Think of the First Lady. She would smack you down one handed and not even break a sweat or mess up her awesome clothes. You know I'm right, right?

(18,402 posts)I got an email yesterday afternoon asking if I could volunteer the last four days of the election at the National (not state) HQ in Chicago, to do GOTV. Supposedly, it was for their "experienced" volunteers who could commit to a number of four-hour shifts.
I immediately signed up for all four days. Don't know if they'll choose me from among those who applied, but even if Obama himself doesn't show up (maybe? maybe? it is Election Day, after all), I thought it would still be exciting to be where all the national staff is. It could be (a) exciting, (b) nail-biting, (c) depressing. I hope it's not (c).

(312 posts)After Hurricane Irene came through the area and flooding occurred last year in Passaic County, New Jersey, my President came to the flood ravaged areas to promise and eventually deliver support. If it were Myth Romney in charge, we would have told to eat cake, probably in French too.
