The Koch Bros. put coupons/cards to assist employees w/ buying stuff in a campaign solicitation?

this has been in many threads, but I want to focus on this part.

The link is, of course: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/koch-industries-sends-pro-romney-packet-employees-195709471--election.html

I already think that this tying a specific candidate to the idea that one may or may not keep one's job may cross the line of violating Election law - you should really just say "this election could have a bearing on our future prospects as a company" (showing that a non-partisan alternative way of expressing yourself is available, btw) - but this?

Has anyone contacted the Brennan Center about this? Heard anything from them about this?

Does anything that facilitates making purchases at discounts constitute an illegal solicitation?

I think they are completely out of control.

This sure seems like they got away with pushing the "we are independent of any cause or campaign thing" with the bus tour before the Wisconsin recall, and they have decided that there is nothing they can't get away with.

Someone needs to fuck them up.

If they offer you $$ for your vote then that is illegal - it sounds like they are offering something in return

these laws are so lax that they actually allow an employer to take employees out to canvass for their candidate and ask them for $$ for Pacs. It is just unbelievable.

We have the church telling you how to vote, your employer telling you how to vote and all the suppression, what the hell is happening to this country?

What upstanding citizen wants to act like that? I couldn't do the things these people do. And if I worked for a company that was going to fire my co-workers on how they voted, I would be just as mad if my boss said we had to vote for Obama to keep our jobs. The GOP has NO shame.

is this a thing of value - is there a value in the thing the card facilitates - that means an item of value was included in a campaign solicitation.

This stinks to high hell, it seems to me.
