Fear.

The biggest fear in the country in 2004 was national security. People were still reeling from the terror attacks, we were at war.

The republicans pushed that fear at the American people in visual descriptions of planes hitting buildings, more terror attacks in a Democrat was elected, etc.

The biggest fear in America these days hits a little closer to home. Losing your job, knowing that it might be a long time before you get another one. Luckily, the Democrats have had some good jobs reports. Unemployment numbers are better, public confidence is up.

SO now, the "job creators" are stepping up. Telling their employees if Obama is reelected, they are going to lose their jobs.

More republican fear. But it has worked in the past.
