Tennessee & Maine DUers - so who are you voting for in the US Senate

In Tennessee I can't see anyone voting for Mark Clayton even if he is the democratic nominee.

I think DUers everywhere will understand if you vote 3rd Party in that election!!!

Just so you know Clayton managed to pull out a win in a 6 person run for the democratic nominee for US Senator and he's actually polling pretty close to Bob Corker.

But this guy Clayton actually makes Corker look like a sane choice. Clayton is a member of the Public Advocate of the United States which has been designated as a Hate Group by the Southern Povery Law Center (SPLC). Clayton isn't getting any endorsements from the National Democratic Party including the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Comittiee. If you want to read more about the PUblic Advocate group click here -->> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_Advocate_of_the_United_States

This is the DSCC page today - http://www.dscc.org/featured_races?blog_entry_KEY=844
As you can see no mention of Mark Clayton whatsoever.

Maine is a different situation because the strongest candidate is a 3rd party candidate who was once a democrat. I guess Maine is still hurting from the 2010 Governor campaign where a 3-way race gave way to Paul LePage, a Teabagger, to win the Governor race. No one wants that again in Maine.

The DSCC does mention that Cynthia Dill is the democratic nominee and gets a small mention as the listed nominee for the democratic party but it seems that the DSCC gave more promotion to Angus King, popular former maine Governor who is a progressive, has endorsed Obama in the past but will not commit today to who he will caucus with when he wins. Right now King has 48% in the polls with the republican at 29% and Dill lagging at 13%.

I know we are not to endorse 3rd party candidates; however, I think for Tennessee that isn't an issue. DU should not be supporting democratic candidates who have absolutely no support from the party. But what bout Maine?

They were both defeated in the primary due to lack of funds by this Clayton guy. In a field of unknowns Tennessee usually picks the first person (the ballots are always done alphabetically) on the list of candidates.

I use to think the reason why Mike Castle (r) won all the time here in Delaware is because the largest county in our state is New Castle county. We're like 2-1 in favor of Democrats in our state but Castle was a pretty moderate republican.
