(What a worker!!) President Obama at the Williamsburg campaign office

From the Virginia Gazette: …. The president arrived at the office, where he came into the lobby carrying a stack of pizzas …. he introduced himself to a small group of campaign workers in the lobby before heading into a back room, where 11 volunteers were phone banking. Obama introduced himself to the volunteers before taking a seat between Alexa Kissinger and Suzanne Stern to make his own phone calls to local volunteers. “I’ve got to get to work,” Obama said.

After joking with Stern about “old school” phones Obama …. then called Ellen and Chuck Hawkins. “Is this Ellen?” Obama asked. “Ellen this is Barack Obama.” Hawkins seemed not to believe she was getting a call from the president of the United States.

“It is. It is. Really, truly,” Obama said. “I’m over here in the Williamsburg office. They have told me some of the great folks that have been doing work, and I know you and Chuck have been working so hard.”

After making phone calls Obama, shook hands with and hugged a line of roughly 20 volunteers standing outside in front of the office, before heading back to Kingsmill to continue preparing for the debate.

campaign workers with food to get them to make phone calls.

- or -

More socialism: President Obama gives people food instead of encouraging them to get a real job

If Romney had dropped into his local campaign HQ he would have brought Chinese food and told the volenteers to pick up the tab!

I am madly in love with my President Obama.! There will NEVER be another Prez like him, this was a ONE OF A KIND election in 2008, there will never be another one like it, NEVER. And that is sad because I have never been so deeply and heartily involved in an election like this one and other will never seem as fantastic as this one. I love my Obama. He is magnificent. Superb. A jewel.

I fell in love after the election - watching him over the past 4 years. He has done more than I would have ever expected of him (or any male president). And then on top of all that, he sings! Swoon. My president sings.

I can't wait to see what he accomplishes in the next 4. (Imagine what could happen if the the House went blue!)

He supports the local economy.

And none of that chain/franchise crap either.

Scott Van Duzer, the Florida pizza shop owner and registered rethuglican
is still getting flak from RWingnuts for expressing his admiration for Obama.
