Even Nate Silver has aborted Operation Romney Bounce!

"EVEN" Silver? Implying Silver was somehow participating in any kind of 'operation' to show Romney bouncing is completely unwarranted, I can only hope that was over the top sarcasm gone wrong. Of all polling analysts in the game he's consistently been the most unbiased and focused purely on what the data really was saying. I wish he'd take a more critical look at Gravis but even there I see no grounds for concluding that he's somehow conspiring to include data he thinks is bogus. He just appears to have been caught sleeping a bit on that one.

He was skeptical of the bounce Romney was receiving the entire time, has never had him as leading or a favorite or even even odds, and making wisecracks about him being somehow in on something is uncalled for.

Personally, I lost respect for his analysis when he started giving full credence to the flood of WeAskAmericARGravismussen polls, and dismissed those who would question them as equivalent to the unskewedpolls types on the right. That hasn't changed just because his numbers have become marginally more favorable for us. If they go down again, will you continue to tout them as some sort of gold standard?

Its his statistical model that needs fine tuning. Nate's model assumes all statistical data is without prejudice - that obviously is no longer the case. Republicans recently decided to release polls as "False Flag" operations to cynically alter public perception of the race. Nate and other statistical modelers need to look carefully at the validity of the poll data being supplied before deciding on how to, or if to, include it.

Garbage In - Garbage Out.
