VP Joe Biden to go on network morning shows after Tuesday night's presidential debate

Vice President Joe Biden will appear on all three network morning shows on Wednesday, less than 10 hours after President Barack Obama faces off against Mitt Romney in the second presidential debate.

Biden will appear on CBS This Morning, The Today Show, and Good Morning America, according to a network source.

This seems like a clear sign that the Obama campaign is taking tomorrow's debate much more seriously than the first, when they didn't have any big name surrogates scheduled to speak on the president's behalf the morning after the debate. Given that Joe Biden is the guy who singlehandedly put malarkey back in the American vocabulary, it seems equally clear that they want Mitt Romney's credibility to be a key part of the post-debate storyline. And with a strong debate performance from President Obama, that's a storyline they should be able to get.

9. VP Biden should be sitting in the audience during the debate . . .

. . . with Michelle on one side and his son Beau on the other.

Then Pres. Obama can be his reasonable Spockian self, but cameras will be on the Bidens while Romney is speaking.
