Been fretting about this debate all day. The format, Crowley, the pressure, etc. And then it hit me.

Every one of the worst moments in Mitt's campaign existence - all of them, from "Corporations are people, my friends" to the 47% blunder - have come when he's one-on-one with people. Whether he's in front of strangers or even his own people, the results have often been disastrous.

He'll be one-on-one tonight.

So there's that.

I feel like I just lost 20 pounds.

Hopefully I'm right...and it occurs to me that a lot of smart people have been saying exactly this, but I was too zoned out in Fret Mode to hear it.

Park it deep, Mr. President. This one counts a whole, whole lot.

Looking at this thing like it's election night. He better pull an American Idol, or he's sunk. And that is the sad state we Americans are in. But yes I thought that myself. Rmoney does terrible in front of people face to face. And he has no podium for his cheat sheets.

Among the 1%, yes, but also when he was speaking about the Olympics. He really thought he'd tout his expertise and flubbed it.

The last debate and a few polls may relax him into being himself and that means Fail!

from romney. If he is angered then I expect some serious gaffes and he might even completely lose it. The attacks should come early and strong.

that is true. He does have a short fuse and doesn't like being challenged.

Obama tends to be very civil though. I don't know if he has attack mode in him.

Romney really tends to screw up when he talks to regular people, but I think he's going to be super disciplined tonight.

Mitt is used to making presentations which served him well in the first debate. This takes actually talking to people which is his weekends. I have been saying this for weeks that hhis is rmoney's weekness.
