If you add up all the 'family' categories (1,802), it's still less than 'acquaintance' (not to mention unknown).

Because of a man liking / loving them. Not true for men.

In a majority of murders, the relationship can't be determined. The second most prevalent relationship is 'acquaintance' -- read drug dealer, rival drug dealer (after all they're acquaintances).
I'm sure stalker is probably in the mix, but not sure it's been quantified.

(47,209 posts)Including guys who admired from afar, exs or one time dates who stalk, etc then it becomes the top reason women are murdered. For men drug dealers, robberies etc are much more common. Not so with women.
