Why When Rmoney Or The Repugs Say That Obama Hasn't Turn Things Around Yet In 4 Years Can't PBO Say.

something to the effect that "The economy was in worse shape than I thought and that when I took over the Presidency and learned that - I had to crawl out of this hole that I was left as best I could given the situation."

We are making progress - and then cite all the positive things that he's done to turn this around - like he did last night and then say he needs this second term to finish the job. In essence he's been saying something like that - but I don't think I ever heard him say that when he took over that he learned that we were in worse shape than he thought.

Am I all wet or is there something that can be made of this?

and then "the facts are that altho the recession was a mortal blow, we are in fact slowly recovering. The numbers show this, if the Repubs would care to look at them."

especially the sacred undecided flibberdigibbets.

they don't want to hear that anything is hard, that it takes time and effort. they don't want to acknowledge the depth of the recession. they don't understand the global scale of the issue, how gas prices are set and manipulated, or the interconnectedness of the EU economy and ours.

they want economic magic, and car saleman romney, who actually does know better, is perfectly willing to sell them that illusion.

It took 8 years of Bush policies to get this country to the failing economic state it was in when I took office. It will take more than 4 years to dig our way out of it. The economy is headed in the right direction. (Insert all the relevant information.)

Governor Romney is proposing to put in place economic policies that mimic those of George W. Bush, which pushed this country into the worst recession in our history.

The policies of my administration are working. In addition, other proposals I have sent to Congress like the American Jobs Act would have boosted our economy even more had they not been met with obstruction by Republicans, who made it their priority to make sure I did not get a second term.

Now is not the time to revert to failed policies. We need to keep moving forward.

IMO it should be especially effective on low-information voters who would otherwise be suckered in by Romney's used car salesman approach.
