Dick Cheney to headline big-money Romney event in Dallas next week

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Former Vice President Dick Cheney will headline a Dallas fund-raising event for Mitt Romney on Oct. 25, along with the GOP nominee’s son, Josh Romney. The event will be at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field.

“We’ve already exceeded our fund-raising goal of $2.5 million,” said Ray Washburne, Texas finance co-chair for Romney campaign.

Noting that Romney has pulled in $700 million so far and is on pace to hit $750 million within a week or so, he added, “Money’s not the issue. It’s just Ohio, Iowa – you know.”
