Expect the Atom Bomb to drop on Mittens campaign in the next two weeks.

(45,274 posts)My b et is that Harry put the most benign (though still devastating) interpretation on the missing taxes, knowing that there are deeper, darker landmines lurking beneath the surface that will be exposed if Willard dares to reveal more tax info seeking to refute him.

(14,628 posts)timed so that Robme won't have a large forum (national debate) to refute the new info, because hardly anyone goes to the repuke rallies, that's for damn sure.

(8,646 posts)it would be dumb of them not to have dropped the bomb already considering early voting, unless they know something we don't about election fraud and know they have to overwhelm the system ON voting day. I don't know. I think Harry Reid, who seems to often lack a backbone, didn't come out strong on this issue for no reason at all. There's something more to this.

(1,569 posts)I don't think early voting is very key element as far as stategy is concerned. Very few "undecided" voters are going to participate in early voting--they'll almost all vote on election day and presumably make up their minds once they have their ballots. Those who have made up their minds and are willing to commit (vote) early are simply not likely to change their minds--they are the respective bases.
If they have a bombshell, dropping it next week is plenty early to get any fence-sitters to notice--it also could help depress turnout for the repugs if it is damaging/disheartening enough. It could help further energize our base. Those are the two keys to this election--voter turnout and a small number of undecideds who mostly are waiting to see who screws up before election day.

What could happen to put this back in the news cycle?
A leak about 2009 Amnesty?

(18,133 posts)maybe a leak showing that not only was Mittens a cheat who sought amnesty, but many of his biggest contributors were as well.

(34,845 posts)He can't give us more without violating Romney's right to privacy, which would only embolden them against us. So...no. It's enough that Romney still hides his tax returns.

(21,925 posts)I don't just want Romney to lose. Complete and utter humiliation and exposure to the nation as the greatest fraud and liar ever to run for President would be very sweet.
