It was only for Candy Crowley

to perform the coup de grâce, the killing blow that put poor Willard out of his misery once and for all. Obama wasn't speaking to Willard when he said, "Please proceed." He was speaking to Candy Crowley, telling her that he was done with Romney and that she should finish him off.

And so, she did, destroying the would-be Presidential candidate utterly.

It was art on view to millions.

I think that remark was meant for Romney because the President was feeding him out more rope.

It hurts when you suddenly take all the slack out of the rope, as I learned when water skiing one time. Just about dislocated a shoulder, I did. Oof!
