Burned kitten on the mend

A kitten who was brought to the Nebraska Humane Society with severe burns last week is on the catwalk to recovery.

The 10-week-old black and white kitty named “Hope” has pink bandages covering most of her left side.

Hope's left legs were seriously burned and her whiskers were singed.


Pam Wiese, a spokeswoman for the Humane Society, said it was unknown if Hope was burned with chemicals or with fire, on purpose or by accident.

A concerned citizen brought in the kitten last week and did not know the circumstances of her injuries, Wiese said.
