by Jed Lewison
Via Mike Nellis, this is hilarious:
Bill LuMay, WPTF talk radio: What is it like for you to hear the President of the United States call your dad a liar?
Tagg Romney: Well, you want to jump out of your seat and rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him.
Of course, the only reason Tagg felt that way is because he knew that his old man needed the help. If his dad wasn't having such a terrible debate, Tagg would have been sitting back in his seat, having the time of his life. You know, like Michelle Obama did.
But unlike President Obama, Mitt Romney was utterly unable to defend himself last night. And when Tagg Romney saw his dad's ass getting kicked out there on the debate stage, he wanted rush out onto the floor to even the score.
But fantasizing about doing something and actually doing it are two different things, and when push came to shove, Tagg kept his butt firmly planted in his seat. Just like his father, all Tagg ended up doing was was dream about how things could have been. And just like his father, he's spending the aftermath whining.

Tagg, you belligerent son of a twit, I could probably make you cry. You likely don't fall far from the tree.

(14,881 posts)Some day maybe you'll grow up and if you see you dad being rude and obnoxious, and spewing lies, you'll be embarrassed by his behavior instead of wanting to defend it.
In the meantime, congratulations in being grown up enough to keep your mouth shut and your butt glued to your seat during the debate. And deal with it. Your dad is a bully and a pathological liar.

(11,464 posts)the Romney's even want such a position in the first place.
Reminds me of those who hid in sheets with scissor holes for eyes in the old days.
George Romney is rolling over in his grave. He didn't raise a son or grandson to be like this.
(from what I personally remember about him, but I never really looked into his background).

I've been around long enough to spot somebody who can handle himself in a scrap. Don't let the cool demeanor fool you, I bet The Prez can throw down if he needs to

(40,211 posts)I'm not saying that they were beaten or that there was physical abuse, but this is not the loving family they pretend to be for the public. Violent thoughts toward the president is weird for the adult son of a candidate. I think Romney is a tyrant to his family and they all suffer from Stockholm Syndrome.

I know that Republicans are well-known for their tendency to project their own motives onto others. But I've never heard of anyone projecting on behalf of another person!
